Victorian Antique S. Kirk & Son Sterling Silver Repousse Match Box Holder Case
This Victorian era antique S. Kirk & Son Sterling silver repousse match box holder case dates from the 1890s. It is made of Sterling silver with a detailed raised relief repousse design of flowers on the front cover. This small match box holder case safe has an empty cardboard match box inside. with slit openings on both sides to strike the matches and is stamped on the bottom "S. Kirk & Son Sterling" from the American silversmith. The case measures 1 1/2 inches and is in good condition, with some tarnish patina, has not been polished or cleaned, with some faint scratches on the back. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Sterling silver match box safe collectible art!
